Terms of Service

These Terms cover your use of PolyDex, including the website, web app, Android app, account features, and related services.

Last updated: May 4, 2026

1. Who provides PolyDex

PolyDex is provided by Halo Media Solutions, Inc. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or lifetime unlock, or using PolyDex, you agree to these Terms.

2. What PolyDex does

PolyDex is a visual rhythm trainer. It helps musicians create, save, play back, and print practice grids for counts, accents, cross-rhythms, sticking, picking, custom labels, and related exercises.

PolyDex is a practice tool. It is not a substitute for professional instruction, music notation software, a DAW, medical advice, or therapy.

3. Accounts

You may need an account to use PolyDex Pro. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and do not impersonate another person or organization.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

PolyDex Pro is a paid product. Available plans may include monthly, yearly, and lifetime purchase options. Prices, features, and availability may vary by platform, currency, region, taxes, and app store rules.

Purchases may be processed through supported app stores, web checkout, or another payment provider. The payment provider or app store may apply its own terms, refund rules, taxes, and subscription management requirements.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled according to the rules of the platform or payment provider where you purchased. A lifetime purchase is intended to unlock PolyDex Pro for the lifetime of the PolyDex product and your account, subject to these Terms, platform rules, and reasonable technical limits.

5. Cross-platform entitlement

PolyDex aims to let one PolyDex Pro entitlement unlock supported web and mobile versions when you sign in with the same PolyDex account. Cross-platform access depends on app store rules, account linking, and purchase verification. We will make reasonable efforts to support it, but exact behavior may vary across platforms and stores.

6. Refunds and cancellations

Refunds and cancellations are generally handled by the platform or payment provider where you purchased. For Google Play purchases, use Google Play’s subscription and refund tools. For web purchases, use the available subscription management or support flow. PolyDex may not be able to issue refunds directly for purchases processed by third-party stores.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use PolyDex for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
  • Attempt to bypass paywalls, subscriptions, entitlement checks, or platform payment rules.
  • Interfere with, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or disrupt PolyDex or its underlying services.
  • Upload or store content you do not have the right to use.
  • Use PolyDex in a way that violates app store rules, payment provider terms, or applicable law.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of rhythm patterns, labels, overlays, and other content you create in PolyDex. You give us permission to store, process, display, sync, and back up that content as needed to operate PolyDex.

9. PolyDex intellectual property

PolyDex, including the app design, branding, logos, interface, code, documentation, and related materials, is owned by Halo Media Solutions or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of PolyDex or the right to copy, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service.

10. Changes and availability

We may update, modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features. We aim to keep PolyDex useful and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

11. Disclaimers

PolyDex is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Halo Media Solutions will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, or business interruption arising from your use of PolyDex.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse PolyDex, create risk for the service or other users, or if required by law or platform rules. You may stop using PolyDex at any time.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Ontario, Canada, unless a different law is required by mandatory consumer protection rules in your jurisdiction.
